Winter nights can be spectacles to behold—and to photograph! Crisp, clear skies reveal the most dazzling stars of the year, and the early sundowns of extreme latitudes can unveil breathtaking displays of auroras.
In this presentation Dr. Kah-Wai Lin will show you how to photograph the magic of night in winter. He’ll cover how to read the forecast for aurora borealis, camera settings and compositional techniques for photographing auroras and winter nightscapes, and practical considerations for working in cold conditions.
