Royce Bair, who developed and pioneered the Low-level Landscape Lighting technique (LLL), will demonstrate how LLL will enable you to create more elegant single-exposure nightscapes using illumination that is easier to control and less intrusive to dark-sky places. He will cover all the tools of his trade, as well as the best practices he has honed for how to use them.
Royce will also discuss what to do when single exposures aren’t possible. He’ll teach how to blend in starlit foregrounds to give your nightscapes a more natural appearance, and will share simple stacking techniques to improve detail and tonal range in your images.
