Are you looking to take close-up images of specific galaxies or nebulae? Maybe you’ve already started and aren’t getting as many successful images as you had hoped for?
In this presentation, Forest Chaput de Saintonge will look at how to use a DSLR or mirrorless camera and telephoto lens (at least 200mm) to capture images of individual deep sky objects. He will discuss the best lenses to use, how to capture round stars, getting the perfect focus, trackers and mounts, exposure, white balance, and more.
This talk will get you started capturing the deep sky images you’ve always wanted.
Note: This is not a basic class. An understanding of exposure (ISO, shutter speed, aperture) is required and previous night photography experience is highly recommended. A basic understanding of noise and how to mitigate it is also recommended.
